Spring Shares!
We are less than a week away for Spring Shares! April 4th will be the first pick up. While veggies were slow growing early spring, the last few weeks of sunshine has really brought on some growth! We were a little nervous, but it seems like everything is on track….. finally! Looking forward to cabbages, spring lettuce, kale, spinach, arugula, GREAT looking radishes, leeks and other great produce we started late fall for this springs harvest. We will be sending out our first email within the next few days, so please watch for that! Remember, pick up time is after 2 pm to 6 pm on Thursday. Mark your calendar for the next eight weeks of spring shares!
Bread Shares Week 7
Today’s artisan bread is golden raisin, fennel seed and orange zest.
This fried fruit variation gives the loaf a sweeter flavor profile. Golden raisins and fennel seeds are a classic combination. I enjoy this bread for breakfast, toasted and spread with butter and marmalade.
We will have a few extras today for those who want to give it a try.
Next week is our last bread share of the winter bread shares.
